This is just a meta bug to create a dependancy tree / reference point for all general issues relating to the IRIX 6.5 / MIPSpro 7.3.1.2m / SGI STL port. The first question I would like to raise is regarding these check ins. Is it possible to have any checkin's that are slightly dubious pushed in on separate TAG .. like OO627B_IRIX ? Also I will be getting a solaris build going soon ... on SunOS 5.7 ... and will be able to verify my work then.
I will add dependancies soon, however that is all of patches for all the bugs 781 - 807 :) Lucky I didnt have another, 'cause I wouldnt have gotten 808 .

Having the solenv binary directories in is definately an error. Accepting.
Unxii subdirectories untagged. The windows onescannot be untagged at this point.
In order to close a good many bugs to do with this port, it would be nice to leave the meta bug open. If after the new MIPSpro release, this port is no further, I would definately mark this as wontfix.

Trying 1.1rc using MipsPro 7.4 this time. It allows (among other things) mixing -LANG:ansi_for_init_scope=OFF and -LANG:std! woo :-)
I have managed to get up to setup2 with only the problems raised so far. The tools etc seem to run fine, and of course give nice debuggable output! a first for OO.o on IRIX. Currently stuck with a component registration problem, which I also saw with gcc-2.95.3 and STLport. So nothing to do with the compiler/STL.
Oh, changed solenv/inc/_tg_shl.mk as CC uses -KPIC no -fpic
Have upgraded to MipsPro 7.42m (pre-release) which fixes a compiler bug. The bug caused a crash while compiling sw. Only problems in dbaccess and autodoc remain, everything else is built! (Still have registration problems with two components, java + python). Ok, I now have installation images. Obviously missing at least autodoc and dbaccess, and not registered a java and a pyuno library.
Reverting back to Java 1.3 and adding the extra jar's, solved the registration problem for pyuno etc. Java 1.4.1 seems like it might be broken on IRIX. So, I have everything build now, except dbaccess and autodoc. The installation runs fine, although many modules fail to register, and for some reason odk didn't build so I'm missing, so I'm missing officebean stuff... although I can get that to build, so will just have to make a new installation set and reinstall. Once installed, I re-run setup.bin, and everything registers properly. I'm pretty sure its going to be a LD_LIBRARY_PATH thing in setup. Once installed and registered, soffice runs, and brings up the registration dialogue... once I click through that, it stops due to an error: "OpenOffice.org cannot be started due to an error in accessing the OpenOffice.org configuration data" "The following internal error has occured: GetStorage, name: 'file:///blah/OpenOffice.org1.1/user/config/soffice.cfg' failed throwing exception generically!" I suspect this is due to a missing dbaccess or bridges, but not sure.
Hmmm, that file is just not created during the installation... touch'ing the file works, and I can now run soffice!! :-) All major apps (writer, impress, draw, etc) load and run. Loading a complex word doc causes a crash... Ok, its all built now! To do: - bridges - odk, autodoc crashes, and the build doesn't complete in this directoy - mozilla, connectivity stuff :-)
