1.Launch Application and create a sc document and input data,such as this Item Units Counts Total Binders $3.00 38 $114.00 Desk $5.00 47 $235.00 PEN $8.00 34 $272.00 Pen Sets $12.00 15 $180.00 Pencils $1.00 55 $55.00 2.Select a range from the data then click Insert-)Chart. 3.Click Finish button and a chart is created on the selected range. 4.Double-click the chart to chart edit mode.

Click Layout-)Chart Type.

Chart Type dialog pops up.

Check 'XY(Scatter)' in left panel.

XY(Scatter) type is displayed in right panel.

Select one type in type list:

Points only

Points and lines

Lines only

3D Lines

The chart changes to the selected XY(Scatter) type.

Check the option 'Smooth lines' then click button Properties.

Smooth Lines dialog pops up.

Check 'Cubic spline' or 'B-Spline' and adjust Resolution and Data points order then click OK.

Smooth lines properties is saved.

The chart changes to the setting.

Check or Uncheck the option 'Sort by X values'.

Chart changes to the setting.

Click OK.

Save and close document then re-open.

The chart setting is not lost.
