1.Click Tools-)Options-)OpenOffice Calc-)Sort Lists. 2.Click New button. 3.Input custom order in Entries field, for example, 'red yellow blue green white black', then click Add button. 4.Click OK to close Options.

Launch Applications then create a sc document.

Input some data.

For example,

Color

black

yellow

blue

black

white

red

Click Data-)Sort in main menu.

Sort dialog pops up.

Select an item in 'Sort first by' list and choose 'Ascending'.

Click Options tab in Sort dialog and uncheck the option 'Custom sort order' then click OK.

Verify data is sorted by the selected item ascending in alphabet order.

For this sample:

black

blue

red

white

yellow

Undo * Redo for several times.

Work correctly.

Copy original data to another sheet.

Click Data-)Sort in main menu.

Select an item in 'Sort by' list and choose 'Ascending'.

Click Options tab in Sort dialog and check the option 'Custom sort order'.

Select 'red,yellow,blue,green,white,black' then click OK.

Verify data is sorted by the selected item ascending in custom order.
