I'm drawing a web banner. How can I do it using a 'Websafe' color palette?

You can change the standard palette of OpenOffice.org to a palette in which the colors are expressed as hexadecimal values or web color names by following this procedure:

  1. Draw an object on the document page.
  2. Click on the object to select it.
  3. Right click on it to display the context menu.
  4. Select the Area... item.
  5. In the pop-up window that appears, flip to the Colors tab.
  6. Click on the Load Color List icon.
  7. Select the html.soc file and click OK. (standard path: OpenOffice60/user/config/)

Apache OpenOffice is an effort undergoing incubation at The Apache Software Foundation (ASF), sponsored by the Apache Incubator. Incubation is required of all newly accepted projects until a further review indicates that the infrastructure, communications, and decision making process have stabilized in a manner consistent with other successful ASF projects. While incubation status is not necessarily a reflection of the completeness or stability of the code, it does indicate that the project has yet to be fully endorsed by the ASF.
