Description Unknown 2002-02-08 22:57:52 UTC
Symptom: some EPS files created by sdraw produce a stackunderflow error in
Ghostscript.

To reproduce:
1. Create a drawing with some text in Helvetica italics font. A single
   character is sufficient.
2. Export the selection to an EPS file.
3. Viewing with ghostview will produce the error:
Error: /stackunderflowAFPL Ghostscript 7.03: Unrecoverable error, exit
     code 1 in --scale--

This should be easy to fix. In the EPS file, look for the
"/HelveticaOblique f" command which is followed by the sequence of instructions
for displaying the character you typed in Step 1 above. Rather than ending with
a "show" command as one would expect, the line ends with an "s" which is
defined as a macro for "scale" earlier in the file.

Hello Peter,

First I apologize for the long answering time.

You are completely right, it was easy to fix, as you already
mentioned, the "show" instead of "scale" command has to be used.

I fixed this in goodies/source/filter.vcl/eps/eps.cxx -r1.11

Thanks,
Sven
