If I export a selecton of a drawing as pdf, the pdf page size is still the 
full page size.
See the attached pdfs. The first one ("full.pdf") was created exporting the 
complete page. 
For the second one ("selection.pdf"), I selected the upper right red square 
and chose "selection" when exporting. As can be seen, as intended only the red 
square is exported, however the page is still at full size.
In my opinion, when exporting a selection, the page size should be just as 
large as the selection itself. Otherwise, importing the figure e.g. into LaTeX 
becomes difficult.

Yes, it seems to be a duplicate of bug 69073 (and some further bugs, see my
comment at bug 69073).

It seems to either be a very difficult problem or there are too few people
working on OOo draw. This issue is unsolved for seven years now (since 2003 with
Ooo 1.1), there are a number of duplicates resulting in almost 50 votes to solve
the issue (see bug 23138, bug 25341, bug 69073, bug 84802, bug 88313, ...)

Maybe someone in the know could comment on this..is it too difficult or are
there just too few developers?
