Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 7265
Insert: Object causes StarImpress to crash
Last modified: 2008-05-18 00:07:04 UTC
I didn't see this bug searching for "insert object"; apologies if this has already been addressed: Using either the pull-down menu or option/alt-I-O to Insert Object in StarImpress causes the program to crash. System specifics: CPU: Dual 1GHz Power Macintosh G4, 1.5Gb RAM, 2x80Gb HDD OS: Yellowdog Linux 2.3 kernel: 2.4.19-4asmp glibc: 2.2.5-1.2.3a jre/jdk: j2re-1.3.1-2b
Hi, Thanks for the bug report. Your set-up is almost identical to mine so I should be able to recreate and track down the problem. I have rebooted my sole machine into MacOSX 10.2 (Jaguar) to help the OOo port along with gcc3.1 issues so pelase be patient. It will take about a week or so and I will be back running PPC Linux and will work on your bug report. Kevin (taking ownership since this appears to be a PPC Linux specific problem)
Could this be a duplicate of issue 11040?
Hi, With my recent changes to the OOo 1.1 Bridge code just incorporated into OOo 1.1 Beta2 I can no longer recreate this bug. So hopefully fixing the bridge code fixed this issue at well. I do not want to resolve this as fixed yet since this issue was always intermittant on my machines (sometimes it worked and sometimes it segfaulted). That is what made it impossible to track down (and it never seemed to happen when running under gdb!). So I will change issue to New so that ti does not get lost. Thanks, Kevin
Hi, This bug no longer exists in OOo 1.1 Beta2. So I am resolving this as fixed. Thanks for your bug report. Kevin
