Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 7176
print area settings not retained when exporting to Excel
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:55:29 UTC
I have a spreadsheet which I created in open Office under Linux, containing some tables for a soccer club roster In Open Office I define a print area nad page orientation, and everything is fine when I press the print button. However I needed to save in Excel format for sending to the team, and I wanted it to be sent to them in such a fashion as they would open the file, press print, and hey presto, it would print exactly as it should, so they can use it easily, as some are not particularly computer literate. This may apply to the other components also, I haven't tested this. Can someone please fix this at some point?
Hi Perry, it seems to be an double to Issue 2330. So I set the flags. Best regards Frank *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 2330 ***

Created attachment 2598 [details] A sample file with print area and orientation set in Open Office
This issue was closed as a duplicate of 2330, but I don't believe it is The attached file has the print area and page orientation set, and it works as expected in Open Office. Jusat push print and you are OK When saved to Excel and reopened, Open Office thinks the print area and orientation are correct, but Excel has no print area and orientation set
Hi Perry, we have tested it not only one time, if we set something to double we are sure it's a doouble. Have a look at Issue 3314 and 4380. They are both set to double for 2330 as this Issue will be too. Best regards Frank *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 2330 ***
double
I have tested it with your file, and it works correctly in the upcoming 643 build.
