1) I have a very simple writer document containing the following.
abc
abbc
ac
aabc
2) I press Control-F to bring the Find & Replace dialog box. 
3) I enter ab*c in the Search For text box
4) I check the Regular Expressions check box. 
4) I click on the Find All button and I get the Search key not found message.

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
