Description Rainer Bielefeld 2005-12-16 11:07:27 UTC
On the (not existing?) page there is a request to report the problem ("Bitte
informieren Sie den Autor dieser Seite über den Fehler.") The hyperlink in
"dieser" <http://qa.openoffice.org/servlets/NewsItemView%3fnewsItemID=321> only
generates an error message:

HTTP Status 404 - /servlets/NewsItemView?newsItemID=321

type Status report

message /servlets/NewsItemView?newsItemID=321

description The requested resource (/servlets/NewsItemView?newsItemID=321) is
not available.
Apache Tomcat/4.1

There seems to be a problem with the encoding of the URL (the question mark?).
Comment 2 Rainer Bielefeld 2005-12-16 17:31:21 UTC
@st:
Yes, that's it (already visible in my bug report).
My "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-AT; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20050914
SeaMonkey/1.1a" changes the "?" to "%3f", what will not be found. That's a
little astonishing for me, because other Question marks in other URLs will not
be changed (for example:
<http://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Vermillion_%28South_Dekota%29&action=edit>
work without problem.

Strange: for Error Message page
<http://oootranslation.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/2.0.1rc2/> I
get completely different views with IE7 and Mozilla-Seamonkey, pls. see my
attached text document.
