Description oooac 2005-12-04 03:06:37 UTC
The description in the print options (as well as in other option windows) of
pages as left/right is presumptuous. It assumes that the user intends the first
page to be the right page instead of the left, and it assumes that the user will
intends to have a double-sided document. I have to think every time I come
across this preference. It would be much more intuitive if the description for
these preferences is changed to "even/odd pages" instead of "left/right pages"
since page numbers are clear and constant whereas layout of document is not.

duplicate

And BTW: Layout is consistent as well since OOo forces odd pages to be right
pages, see also issue 3910
