Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 54517
Print dialog needs to have: Print Odd pages, Print Even, Print All
Last modified: 2010-11-10 16:41:12 UTC
When printing multi-page document, 2 sided, need feature like m..s.. Word to select "Odd", "Even", or "All". That capability is not in my download of 7 Sep 05 of the OOo 2 (Beta or Beta2?) 1.9.125. -Incidentally, why doesn't the Issue Reporting form use the 1.9.125 instead of 2.0, 2.0Beta, and 2.0 Beta2 on this website. (Excuse me for putting 2 items in 1 issue report - ignore this 2nd item, unless you know who to have fix the web page.)
There is a option: Left and right Pages. IMO the same.
as stated: This is already possible. odd pages are right pages, even pages are left pages.

The initial responses to my input were informative, but also illustrative of the need for a change to the option lables in the "print dialog box": So, it is true that "Left" and "Right" provide the "function" I requested. However, I requested "Odd" and "Even". I never understood, until reading the response to my input as it was being "closed", that "Left" really means "Even" and "Right" really means "Odd" (if I got that straight). So, why don't we re-open this and change the recommendation to be: "Change the "Left" option to read "Left or Even" and the "Right" option to "Right or Odd"? (if I got it right - it is not intuitive.) -Justification: One shouldn't have to report a bug or ask someone in a forum how to do something that is already in the system, but is not labeled so as to be intuitively obvious to a new user.
Hi Davidcarter, you should consider that this is OOo-Writer and not Word. For example: IMO it was overdone, that the brush-function of word was integrated. I prefer formatting with styles, not the so-called hard-formating like usually used in word.
