Description casman 2005-02-19 07:04:31 UTC
As a new user of Openoffice, I note that one of the keyboard shortcuts I use a
lot with MS Excel ("alt" + "Return") when typing cell data does not work with
Spreadsheet. The shortcut allows me to take a new line within the same cell
which is what I need when creating spreadsheet collumn/row headings. It really
does improve the visual presentation and makes it very professional looking.

Illustration: some reports I do must be on single sheet A4 Landscape and have 10
collumns or more. However collumn headings are perhaps 50 characters in length).
Benefit of "alt" + "Return" is that I can reduce the collumn width to accomodate
all reporting requirements. To illustrate: -

"Example of collumn heading as typed in Speadsheet cell might look like this"

That heading width is too wide - I need it be reduced in width. "Alt"+"Return"
provides that functionality
