A click un the font dropdown box opens the list, renders two, three fonts and then locks openoffice

I disabled Xinerama extension (but I'm still running with both
monitors) and the problem went away. Could Xinerama be the reason for
all this?

I'm running Debian Woody without Xinerama and the problem is still the
old one. On SuSe, it sometimes survived scrolling halfway through the
font list and locked up then.

Luiz, does using OOo 1.0.1 resolve this issue?

Its probably a known Xinerama bug

latest developer build 643, feel free to reopen this issue.
