Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 3281
inline drawing dissapears on export to word
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:43:23 UTC
When I export this file to Word and open in Word97 the text flow gets messed up and figure disappears. Actually the orginal problem document (which I can't send you) had a bit map figure and when I imported it the figure stayed and the caption disappeared.
Created attachment 1125 [details] Here's the fiel
JA->MRU: something for you...reassigned
MRU->CMC: the frame anchored as character. I think, it should be "in line with text after export. Yes, and the drawing inside the frame is completely missing.
The problem here is that the missing drawing would have to be exported as an "escher" drawing in word. Until word xp escher objects cound not be anchored as character (in line with text)! so that's the main reason its not being exported. With xp there is a new field hack that allows this. e.g. in the word document double click the textframe and in layout change it to "in line with text". Now in tools->options->view click field codes and you will see a shape field. This is a new word feature in xp. So we need to implement this field, and its a little bit tricky :-( Implementation is undergoing in issue 3958, so this is a duplicate of that. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 3958 ***
