As visible in http://www.home.fh-karlsruhe.de/~kada0012/bug/diagramm.sxw, I 
have loaded an .EMF vector image into an OpenOffice text document. The image (a 
UML acitivity diagram) is displayed correctly.

When exporting the document to .PDF, the vector image (more precisely: the 
elippses used for activities) comes out distorted (looking like twisted candy

i guess you didn't try with a 1.0.3 version - as that had no PDF export - but a
1.1. The problem with curves was fixed with issue 19616.
