When trying to test a XML filter for Impress, I can't test my filter nor can I 
export an impress file using that filter.  

In Impress:
Open the XML Filter Settings dialog
Either create a new export filter or change an existing one to have impress as 
the application
Test XSLTs...
Browse for transform document (I am unable to choose current document even 
with a valid document open)
In the open dialog box, under "Files of Type" the only files available are of 
the type I just set up as the output of the Filter: <Name of File Type> 
(<extension>)
*Note: It is possible to test if you enter *.* in the file name and then find 
the correct file.
The new export format does not appear when trying to export the current file.


I've tried numerous xsl files (including the XHTML filter provided) with no 
luck.
