Description Peter 2003-12-30 17:11:43 UTC
- Create a new text document
- Create a new paragraph
- Type some text
- Select Format | Absatz | Umrandung | Linie | Stil | 0,05 pt
(sorry, German version; create a box around the paragraph)
- Export as PDF or print via PDF printer (ghostscript)
- Open the result in Acrobat 4 or 5
- Check various magnifications (eg. 100%, 125%, 204% (sic) etc.)
- observe that some of the lines often have different width than
  than others.

Expected: Every line should have the same width on screen. Good
example: page 2 of http://www.murczak.de/maitre/vv.pdf

cp->pl: seems to be an Adobe problem rather than ours. However please have a look.

By chance I came across this:

http://www.microtype.com/resources/articles/AcroDisplay.html
Section "Inconsistent Line Thickness"

which refers to
http://www.microtype.com/resources/LineDisplay.pdf

The described problem indeed originates from acrobat reader, and is not
generally solveable as the vector graphics contained in the PDF need to be
discretized on the screen.

Please note issue 19235, there were some instances where PDF lines actually were
too thick, which will be solved with 1.1.1.

Since this is not an OOo issue i'll close it.
