Description brendanh 2003-09-08 04:42:25 UTC
I have a text document with inserted .wmf files from AUTOCAD (drafting package).
On screen everything looks great but when a PDF is generated all capital D's,
O's and any D shaped, O shaped or circles in the pictures is enhanced (ie.. in
bold type ?). Does not matter to what grade of PDF export I use. printing the
PDF mirrors the bold bits, but printing the text document from OO produces
perfect D, O and circles.

cp->pl: looks funny, please throw an eye on it.

The uncompressed PDF file shows that there is not a single font used
inside the area where thi picture containing the "bold" letters is.
This you can also see by the fact that the file contains only two
fonts (Arial and Arial-Bold) neither of which is obviously used to
draw the letter inside the wmf. This means that someone draws polygons
instead to show the text inside the wmf (not really a surprise if they
come from autocad) and that on the fat letters the linewidth is not 0.

For further debugging I'd need the original document including the WMF
file; would that be possible ?

Comment 6 philipp.lohmann 2003-09-12 12:14:42 UTC
confirmed, a document with only the wmf inserted shows the same in
current version (and still everything is fine on printout and display).
Comment 7 philipp.lohmann 2003-09-12 12:15:54 UTC
should be fixed in 1.1.1. Changing OS to 'All' since perfectly
reproduceable on Linux, too.
Comment 8 philipp.lohmann 2003-09-12 13:49:06 UTC
fixed in CWS vcl7pp1r3

How do I get my hands on this release ?.

Waiting for OOo 1.1.1, the target the issue is fixed for. The verified state
means that hi (a QA member) verified the problem vanished on the CWS i fixed it
on. When this CWS is merged into the main trunk that will become 1.1.1 he will
set the issue to closed. I hope this clarifies things a bit.
