Description nitro146 2003-10-05 12:15:18 UTC
I just switched from OOo 1.0.3 on linux Mandrake 9.1 to OOo 1.1 RC5 (French
versionn). I use a lot pdf feature. It worked perfectly using the PDF printer on
1.0.3

When I export using the new feature in 1.1 there are 2 problems :

1- major problem -> some letters in the text appear shifted on the right by abot
5 characters, maknig the text almost unreadable

2- minor problem -> images are too much compressed (the JPEG arctefacts)

These appear both with xpdf and kghostview.

I can send exemples if needed.

the file macros.pdf is not a pdf document, but a tar.gz that contains
the file macros.sxw
But no need to supply it. Duplicate.
Solution for now: use a different font.
Image-problem: make sure to use File|Export to pdf to set the output
level to press optimized to get best results (biggest filesize though)
- this is worked on as well, see issue 10388

It is a very bad idea to adress more than one problem in one issue...
