Description pratesi 2003-09-29 09:40:56 UTC
The attached OOo Impress document (and the attached corresponding PDF export)
contains a dotted list with a widely used type of dot, that, to my knowledge,
is also almost the only one available both in OOo and msoffice.
I am attaching also the file obtained saving the Impress document
as a .ppt mspowerpoint file; if you open the .ppt with mspowerpoint,
a different type of dot is shown, even though the wanted dot is available
also in msoffice.
Maybe, the dot should be "mapped" differently by the corresponding
export filter.

Comment 5 christian.guenther 2003-09-30 08:23:42 UTC
I can't reproduce the bug.
I looad the attached files in Impress and PPT and see allways the same
bullet.
Please send me a step by step description how to reproduce the bug.
Comment 6 pratesi 2003-09-30 10:32:06 UTC
It happens something similar to issue 20301.
ASAP, I will prepare similar screenshots to evidence the problem.

Thank you,

Marco Pratesi

I still can't reproduce the bug.
Please tell me which Windows and which MS-Office do you use the open
the exported file.
Comment 9 pratesi 2003-10-22 13:34:58 UTC
The problem has been found on ms win xp + ms office xp.
Comment 10 utomo99 2003-10-31 05:17:30 UTC
I cannot open the ppt file, which I got from exported sxi using OOo 1.1

utomo > pratesi :
if it is found in win xp, why you reporting as Linux ?
Comment 11 pratesi 2003-10-31 11:38:05 UTC
I have prepared the attached files with OOo for Linux,
not with OOo for mswindows.

The problem has been found on mswindows, as msppt does not run
on Linux ;-)
Comment 12 christian.guenther 2003-11-12 16:09:14 UTC
I test the behaviour several times and can't reproduce the bug.
I Think it sounds like a font fall back problem.
Please have a look if you know the bug or can reproduce it.
Comment 13 hdu@apache.org 2003-11-18 15:24:37 UTC
HDU->CGU:
It has nothing to do with font our fallback, because MS PPT probably
doesn't use it :-) It sounds more like a filter problem? Try to
recreate it with StarSymbol removed from your system. Install
OpenSymbol instead.

I think this issue is duplicate to the Q-PCD 11 issue 20483.

Issue 20483 is closed in the meantime.
Please tell me if you can still reproduce this bug with the latest version
(OOo1.1.1)
Comment 17 christian.guenther 2004-06-04 08:46:10 UTC
Issue 20483 is closed in the meantime Therefore I close this issue too.
Please reopen the issue if you can still reproduce the bug.
