Description othr 2003-09-06 00:41:52 UTC
pdf generation:

automatically generate the document outline structure as bookmarks in the
bookmark pane of the pdf (similar to generation of table of contents within
word processor).

This would be FANTASTIC!!!

I'd support this vote: Currently the Adobe Acrobat v5 with MS-Word does create
much better PDFs than OOo native PDF export. Isn't that a great motivation to
improve things? To be concrete:

* Try to preserve document structure (table of contents being hyperlinked to the
corresponding section, create PDF bookmarks to match document structure/tabel of
contents)

* Try to preserve hyperlinks (http, mailto). Currently hyperlinks just end as
underlined text with no action associated

* For multi-column text, try to create automatic article-threads (allowing to
read column-wise instead of page-wise). If you've seen that once (Framemaker
PDFs), you don't want to miss that.
