Description khirano 2003-08-25 04:02:40 UTC
Some characters overlap glid lines and some glid lines are thicker on PDF
outputs of vertical Text Grid

If you create grid texts according to the following style settings,
http://www.transwift.net/ooo/grid_sample_setting_en.html
and export it to PDF, then on the PDF outputs, ideographic commas, ideographic
full stops and lower corner brackets overlap glid lines because all characters
or whole texts look taking slightly upper position, and parts of glid lines look
thicker than others.

I will attach three .sxw files created on Redhat 9, SuSE8.2 and Windows98SE.

Thanks

cp->pl: really a pdf problem ? please have a look
Comment 3 philipp.lohmann 2003-09-01 12:15:18 UTC
pl->hdu: you're working on the grid problem already, maybe this is a
duplicate ?
Comment 4 hdu@apache.org 2003-09-01 14:21:17 UTC
Issue 18602, issue 18664 and this issue look suspiciously related. I'll work
on the problem by first attacking issue 18602.
Comment 5 hdu@apache.org 2003-10-30 09:33:33 UTC
HDU->PL: as discussed back to you.
In pdfwriter_impl.cxx the drawing offsets are wrong for the the
rotated glyphs.
Comment 6 philipp.lohmann 2003-10-30 11:09:12 UTC
I'll see what i can do
Comment 7 philipp.lohmann 2003-10-31 11:31:29 UTC
pl->hdu: i adjusted the PDF output to what i originally had and now it
looks good. However as we saw together the layout is not portable
between Linux and Windows even with the same fonts, even on the
display alone. You should have another look into this matter IMHO. For
the PDF correction just update pdfwriter_impl.cxx in CWS vcl7pp1r3.
Comment 8 hdu@apache.org 2003-10-31 13:07:12 UTC
Since the display issue is in issue 18599 and this one is fixed I'm
setting the status to fixed.
Comment 9 hdu@apache.org 2003-10-31 13:10:12 UTC
In the comment above replace 18599 by issue 18602.
Comment 10 hdu@apache.org 2003-11-13 15:51:20 UTC
HDU->US: please verify on CWS vcl7pp1r3
Comment 11 ulf.stroehler 2003-12-16 13:34:26 UTC
US->HI: From the lines above you may see that the fix targets the PDF problem
described in this issue collection.

Transferring to HI for evaluation.
Comment 12 h.ilter 2003-12-17 14:34:24 UTC
