User hostile feature - when the app crashes the window inviting me to send a 
report to SUN is hidden gehind the app window.

So I sat there trying everything and finally killed the application - only to 
see the window about the report - which I sent off.

By then the app was no more, and I didn't get the comforting 'fatal but data 
may be recoverable' message.  And my long edit was gone.

OK - OK it's a development issue.  I know more about it than most, and I should 
have saved my work.  Silly me.   But can we please at least have the error 
report invitation on top of everything....  And would it be possible to save my 
data after assembling the error report instead of after I respond to it?

The crash is covered in issue 18255.  This issue is about how the crash 
condition is handled.
