Description mkirchhof 2003-07-24 20:21:24 UTC
While working on the attached presentation, suddenly some of the imbedded
images disappeared (borders still shown, but not the images themself). Until
then, no password was assigned, but after the images disappeared an empty
password is required.

Duplicate of 5439?

Can you tell me what you've done a short time before the graphics
disappears?

The same problem occurs also in 1.1RC4 on Linux.
Here is exactly what I did before the problem occurred.
(My environment is Red Hat Linux 9.0 on i386 PC and Debian testing on
i386 PC. The problem occurs in both environment.
I use the binary distributed by OOo project (english version))

First, start impress and create an empty presentation.
Next, Click [Insert]->[Graphics] and insert "bigapple.gif" from
OpenOffice.org1.1.0/share/gallery/ .
Then, add a new slide by clicking the right side of "slide1" tab at
the bottom of the screen.
Go to "slide2" and insert "flower.gif" just like "bigapple.gif".
Click the floppy disk icon in the tool bar.
Name the file "test" and make sure that "Save with password" is
checked off.
Save the presentation.
Exit impress by clicking [File]->[Exit].
Start impress again and open "test.sxi" from "Open existing presentation".
Go to "slide2" and slightly move the "flower.gif" by mouse dragging.
Click the floppy disk icon in the tool bar to save the presentation.
Then go to "slide1" and you'll see "bigapple.gif" is missing.
Close the presentation and reopen the file.
This time you'll be required to enter password.

In my experience, this problem occurs only with relatively big images.
With only small images like "apple.gif" or "sky.gif" in the OOo
gallery, the problem doesn't seem to occur. You need at least one big
image like "bigapple.gif"
