The interesting question is: Waht was the status of the checkboxes for load and save in "Tools / Options - Load/Save - Microsoft Office" that belong to the MathType import/export ? However in the current version 645m8 I do not have a problem with editing the formulas in the sample document (independent of the state of the mentioned checkboxes).
The crash occurs with version 1.1 beta2 FR when the box "load and conversion" (*) is checked for MathType / OOo conversions in "Tools / Options - Load/Save - Microsoft Office". Import seems to work well but OOo crashes when I want edit the converted formulas. When the box is not checked, OOo does not convert the formulas and does not crash. (*) first box ; "chargement et conversion de l'objet" in FR version.
This seems to be an OLe problem in OO 1.1 Beta2. Beta1 didn't have the problem and also the beta2 equivalent of StarOffice Beta2 did not have the problem. Sounds like a problem while building OOo, and not directly in the source code. I'll have a look at a current (internal) OO 1.1 RC Milestone and check, if it will be solved in next release.

This will be fixed in next OO release (1.1 rc), which will be available soon.
Closed. Crash does not occur anymore in OO 1.1 RC.
