Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 11866
warning dialog gets launched when adding binding to script in a document
Last modified: 2003-03-13 11:09:28 UTC
SFrameworkINstall.jar.26.02.2003, Solaris 9, staroffice 644 build m5. Using netbeans deploy a script to a document. Ensure the seurity settings under tools options security is set to path and confirm in case of other document sources is checked on Open the document (not located in security path settings) Select tools, scriptingadd on's, assign script to menu. At this point a warning (#2 as defined in security specs doc) dialog is launched, not sure if this is the intended behavior - bug 11727 suggests that this warning dialog should be launched on document load, this issue has been closed as won't fix. If this isn't a bug, please close as not a bug.
Noel - is this a side effect of creating the Function provider when the Assign dialog is now brought up? I thought the security check occured during resolve, which happened only during invoke. Needs investigated. We should not bring up the warning dialog at this point, the expected behaviour is to see this one invocation [ ideal would be to have it appear when doc is opened but this is not currently possible as we have no hook into the document open - refer to earlier warning dialog bugs - closed with won't fix and requires_documentation ]

Should be fixed as part of security mods
Fixed - workaround in place to avoid displaying the security dialogs when opening the "assign script to ..." dialogs.
verified in ed-0.2
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details.
