Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 11760
Loop when setting page to 99 columns while having Text selected
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:43:39 UTC
- New Text document - Write and select one line of text - Format-Columns - Enter "99" - OK -> Loop (Reproduced on Win2k and United Linux 1.0) Remark (1): This one is "The rest of issue 7882" that got partly fixed for OO.org 1.1 Beta Remark (2): When no text is selected, it works as expected: The amount of inserted columns depends on the space (->paper size and margin), so it is reduced to a meaningful 52 or 53 for a default A4 page. This can be seen when opening the dialog "Format-Columns" again. This change is not a bug but an office "smarter than the user" ;-) When "99" is entered again in this "second attempt", the calculation of space is disregarded and 99 columns get inserted. Remark (3): Those in desperate need of more columns than 99 should get to know how to use a spreadsheet before submitting word processor enhancements ;-)
OS->FME: Loop in text formatting
FME: Changed target to OOo1.1 beta2
