Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 10757
Standby mode of Win98 will hangup OpenOffice after wakeup
Last modified: 2003-05-19 10:31:19 UTC
When Win98 goes tries to go to standby mode, the standby window will keep busy and OpenOffice will be unresponding. The only way to recover from this is to reboot, of course with all data in OpenOffice lost. All my other applications respond fine to a standby-wakeup cyclus.
Reassigned to HI.
Sounds for Framework
Will have a look at this one !
Checked this issue with OO 1.0.2. running under Win98SE on a Compaq Laptop. Everything works fine, Win98 enters standby mode and turns back into working mode while OpenOffice is still running. So please check, if this problem still occurs with OO 1.0.2 !
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.

With OOo 1.0.3. all seemed to be OK now (also related to issue 6809). But however, after several operations, problems may arise. Most of the time, 1.0.3.1 behaves better than 1.0.1 or 1.0.2 with respect to standby entering. But *when* it goes wrong, the behaviour is worse. The computer is definitely hanging, while with V1.0.1 one could mostly close the quickstarter, and then standby process is continued.
Problem wasn´t reproducible in staroffice 6.1 beta2. Please check if it occurs in an appropiate OO-version when available. Issue may then be reopened.
