Description Unknown 2003-01-02 23:07:28 UTC
I installed "OpenOffice 1.0.1" by "install" (i.e. everything is in /usr/local).

When I enter LDAP address and the openoffice acknowledges it, then I get

/usr/local/OpenOffice.org1.0/program>./soffice
Xlib: unexpected async reply (sequence 0x2e33)!

soffice no longer responds and hangs. I have to kill it.
Therefore soffice is unusable at this time.

My environment is:

Dell Latitude C840 with P4-M 2.2 Ghz, 1 GByte memory, NVidia Geforce4 440 Go
(driver 4191). Linux is RedHat 7.3 (Linux 2.4.18-18.7.x). Running under
KDE 3.0.

Wrong component.

Hi Tosta,

is the workaround in issue 3750 Additional Comments From Brian
Anderson 2002-05-01 15:41 PDT helpful for you?

If not, I recommend to try 1.1.0.

If the problem still exists in OOo 1.1.0, please let us know!

If I will not see any further action as votes, attachments or
confirmations in this issue, I will have to close this issue
2003-10-31 as WFM.
