It looks like the problem only occurs for glyphs and pixel sizes where embedded bitmaps are used. Can you export the document to PDF and attach it? This will get rid of embedded bitmaps and also show which font is used for glyph fallback if any. Looking closer at the problem I think the problem is caused by the combination of: - Win98's vertical text handling - Kochi Mincho having vertical alternates for selected glyphs (e.g. Kana) - Kochi Mincho having embedded bitmaps for selected glyphs at selected sizes (10 to 17, 20 and 21 pixels) I'm confident the problem is that Win98 runs into problems when a glyph which both has a vertical alternate outline and an embedded bitmap for horizontal mode doesn't have a matching vertical alternate for the embedded bitmap => not a OOo problem, but a W98+font problem The problem the user sees is valid, but I'm setting the status of this issue to invalid, because it is not OOo's problem. Removing target from invalid Issue, to reduce the statistics. Closing. |
