Description Unknown 2003-08-08 12:58:21 UTC
when i write any formula (in the writer), the equal sign (=) looks like a minus
(-) and the not equal sign looks like a "not minus sign" :-) (that is, one of
the vertical lines in the equal sign is missing).
and another thing: when i write a thing like H^{*} instead of * i see an upside
down question mark.

See Issue 3195 for information on how to correct this.

When entering H^{*} you recieve the error-symbol (turned question
mark). This is because * is a multiplication operator and an
expression like a*b is expected by the formula parser. You have to
enter H^{"*"} instead. This will give you the desired result.

I think, not 3195 will give the desired correction. Go to issue 12557.
There a corrected OpenSymbol font can be found. This should solve your
display problems.
