Hi, I definitely agree with Guido on this one. I think the developers have got the sequence around the wrong way. It should be: Select File -> Export to PDF Enter the parameters Enter the file name and save. When I first used this facility I even raised the issue that I thought there was a bug because I could find the parameters again. The last thing people do in the sequence is select save. Not enter the parameters. Hope my feedback helps. Kelvin > I think the developers have got the sequence around the wrong way.
this is a (rare:) feature which was not desgined by the developers :)

*** This issue has been confirmed by popular vote. *** - new title I agree with this one. thx! Gabriel Gazzán Yes, most likely, cf. http://specs.openoffice.org/appwide/pdf_export/KickOffOct2003.sxw MMP>CP: Thanks for taking over. MMP>CP: Thanks for taking over. MMP>CP: Thanks for taking over. targeted for 8 according to http://specs.openoffice.org/appwide/pdf_export/PDFExport.sxw FME: Started implementation. Notes, hyperlinks and outlines will be exported to PDF. FME: Sorry, Notes, hyperlinks, and outline will be addressed with issue 12836. Back to CP. cp->pl: please check this out. the spec says that the pdf options have to appear *befor* the "file save" dialog but in pdf01 it's still the old behavior. is that you (or SJ) ? pl->sj: this is for you i guess ? Or does each application have to change this ? sj->mav: Can you please takeover this Issue, as already discussed the change takes place in sfx2. Please ask CP or MMP if you have any further questions depending to the specification or integration date, thanks. Because of limited resources we have decided, that this feature has to be shifted to target 'OOo later'. If it is possible to find somebody in the community to implement it, perhaps we can integrate it in OOo 2.0. Currently we have to retarget this task. target and back again cp->mav: As discussed with Thorsten Ziehm, we try to smooth the rough edges in pdf export. please fix the order of dialogs as initially planned. It would be great if you could do so on CWS pdf02 It makes no sence to fix the problem until mav09 cws is integrated since the code that will be affected by the fix is hardly changed in this child workspace. retargetted due to heavy workload I support this: first prompt for options, then for filename. *** Issue 58157 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** This is not blocked by 12693. When the compression level is asked is not tied to how the UI asking the resolution actually looks like. This is an ugly quirk in one of the most important OOo features. We should definitely fix it in the next possible release. Fixed in fwkdbdesign01 cws. I agree with this one. I think it is the better to appended the preview of the pdf-export MAV->TM: Please verify the issue. TM->HI: One for you, please take over. Verified with cqws fwkdbdesign01 = ok; Range of options and save as has changed. *** Issue 76255 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** *** Issue 76380 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** Still the same in 680m211_9151 |
