SXCs and screenshots on Windows2000 and RedHat8.0
This is the same problem as in issue 11757. Please set the reference edge of the cells to "Inside cell". *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 11757 *** double->closed Dear Daniel, Thanks for your comment. I can not still solve the 'disappearance' issue on Linux even by your kindly suggestion. Please visit the files I am going to attach. Could you tell me how to solve this issue, or should I reopen this or raise another issue for this? Created attachment 4989 [details]
Sample SXC and screenshot where text disappears in 'inside cell'
Yes, I can re-create the dissappearing text on RedHat 6.2 using an XFree86 XServer 3.3x for the 'Helvetica' and 'Times' font. This is quite an old version now. This problem does not occur on a RedHat version 7.3 using an XFree86 version 4.2. Use 'xdpyinfo' to determine your XFree86 release. For a full discussion of this and recommendations please see: http://www.openoffice.org/FAQs/fontguide.html For the sticking 'disappearance' issue, please refer to my latest comment on the issue #12945. I was a little premature in blaming this on the XFree86 version. I tested this initially with OOo 1.0.1 and it worked but if fails on later releases on version 4.2. I have highlighted this and I agree that issue 12945 looks like the same bug. |
