Description pekkasiponen 2009-01-31 09:33:04 UTC
When I click on a cell in a writer table, then activate the Formula toolbar
(view, toolbars, formula) and click on other cell, the cell shows gibberish
character. Probably some asian language..? When I press enter to make the
formula happen, the characters disappear.

MRU->HDU: insert a table into Writer, hit F2 key when cursor is in the table and
click one of the cells -> at the beginning and at the end of the formula (in the
table view) an obsolete character is displayed. Happens only on MAC.

That is a pair of LRE/RLE..PDF format characters (U+202A/U+202B..U+202C). ATSU should only use them
for formatting but not try to display them...

Retargeting as the window for 3.2 is closed for non-show-stoppers. The issue is not as serious as originally thought
because it is not visible during regular viewing or editing of the document but only when the formula entry is active
for that cell. There is the additional chance that move from ATSUI->CoreText will fix this accidentially.
