When I create a PDF file from a subset of my document, I have to select the
Range/Pages button, then click in the page number field before I can enter the
page numbers I want to export.

The Print dialog prompts with the current page number when I select Print
Range/Pages (whether selected by clicking or with the keyboard accellerator) and
moves the cursor to the page number text field. The PDF Options dialog should do
all of this too.
