Description flaime 2009-01-14 22:04:32 UTC
OOo 3.0.1 RC1 and RC2.

Start Impress and open a new empty presentation. As a Layout choose "Title,
Text". Now begin to write a random word per line, as example write 'one' in the
first line, 'two' in the second and so on, then try to press CTRL-A to select
all the text just entered. CTRL-A now opens the "Open File" dialog box instead
of selecting the text. The regression is only in Linux, I've tested it in Ubuntu
8.10 and Fedora 9/10 while in windows Vista/XP it correctly works.

Is this OOO300_m15 you are using? Did you update an older version? Thanks.
Comment 2 flaime 2009-01-15 08:36:50 UTC
Yes, I've tested it with OOO300_m15 either with a fresh installation or an
update. Also with 000300_m14 the behaviour was the same.

RESULT OF TEST:
Bug NOT present for UBUNTU 9.04 configuration provided below.
All the text in the particular area(like "CLICK to add title" area) is selected.
The behavior described for the failed systems doesn't occur for the
configuration provided below.

Configuration :
   Platform: PC
Operating System: Ubuntu 9.04, kernel 2.6.28-14-generic
Open Office Impress version: OpenOffice.org 3.0.1
                                OOO300m15(Build:9379)

Steps Taken :

1. Open Impress with an empty presentation.
2. In the "Layouts" window on the right of the screen select
the Layout on which when one slides the cursor and rests for a second the
following text appears "Title, Text".
3. Start typing in "Click to add Title section" or the "click to add an outline
area" and after typing some words or a word go to the next line by pressing the
"Enter" key.
4. After typing in three or four lines, press the combination of keys CTRL+A.
