Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 9795
HTML export prefrences are missing Hebrew in the character set list
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:02:26 UTC
In OO prefrences, there are prefrences for exporting HTML. What of the options is "character set". There are no Hebrew character sets in the list- I would expect to see at least iso-8859-8 there, if not windows-1255 (which is a superset of windows-1255, thus contaning charcters that the former does not have) to repro: 1) make sure hebrew support is enabled 2) tools -- options -- load/save -- html/compatbilty 3) look for a hebrew charset in the export list
DL->MIB: Would you please takeover?
The possible HTML character sets are the ones that have a MIME type registerd. Eicke, can you please evaluate ehyi iso-8859-8 does not appear?
Encoding simply is not listed in svx/source/dialog/txenctab.src, nor are other Hebrew and Arabic encodings. They aren't offered in any character set dialog. Strange that not anybody complained about this so far.. @Elizabeth: I suggest the following entries, please confirm (or correct) and reassign this issue to me when done. English: Arabic (DOS/OS2-864) Arabic (ISO-8859-6) Arabic (Windows-1256) Hebrew (DOS/OS2-862) Hebrew (ISO-8859-8) Hebrew (Windows-1255) German: Arabisch (DOS/OS2-864) Arabisch (ISO-8859-6) Arabisch (Windows-1256) Hebräisch (DOS/OS2-862) Hebräisch (ISO-8859-8) Hebräisch (Windows-1255)
EM->ER The strings are fine as listed (with proper umlaut in German ;-). I'm so glad that this error was discovered!

SBA: Note that IBIS #106103 is a duplicate of this one.
SBA: OK in CWS Calc03.
The Hebrew encodings do not appear in CVS build 20030223. Am I missing something?
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details.
