Thank you for using and supporting OOo.

A few points to make.

1.  Make sure you install OOo 1.0.1 using the RPMs provided by
    RedHat.

    It is a known issue that the binaries from OpenOffice.org
    do not run on RH 8.0.


2.  See issue 9431.  In that case, turning on the loopback device
    resolved the issue.
