It appears that you have a new version out. At least, that is what OpenOffice
is telling me when I start it up these days. But I pulled up your web site and
clicked on the "I want to download OpenOffice.org" link, the page I went to had
three main items:
1) A message stating "An email has been sent to meldata666@gmail.com to allow
you to set up your password", which isn't going to help a bit since that is not
an email address used by me.
2) A button if I want to get /Extensions/.
3) A button if I want to get /Release Candidates and Snapshot Builds/.
4) A link to a burnable image file.
The option of actually downloading OpenOffice appears to be missing.

I am not interested in using the automatic update for two reasons:
1) it only works when Open Office is in use; once I close the file, the
download stops and does /not/ resume where it stopped at the next time a file
is opened.
2) it attempts to "update" my JRE, usually to a version prior to the one I am
currently using.
If /both/ problems have been fixed, please tell me the version number of the
version of OpenOffice that first had an updater that actually worked.

The mailmessage described in 1) is now a duplicate.

Please file one issue per problem.
