Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 9659
Print dialog may crash OOo if number of copies changed to huge value
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
Steps to replicate the bug: 1.From the start menu select programs, openoffice 643C and then text document. 2.Go to the menu bar and select file and then print. 3.The print dialog box comes up with a value of 1 in the number of copies cell. 4.Place the cursor to the right of the 1 in the number of copies cell and rapidly enter twenty zeros. 5.Press the cancel button 6.The system crashes and ultimately generates three error messages.
I tried to replicate this bug on windows 2000 machine. I followed the steps given by the author. But after pressing "cancel" button nothing happens. For the follow up test I tried to press "Ok" button but it works well. According to me, The print function invokes print interface of operating system and it works fine with Windows 2000. I could not replicate the bug.
Thank you for using and supporting OOo. Unable to duplicate on Win2k server SP3, OOo 643c. User summary CRASHES WHEN NUMBER OF COPIES TO BE PRINTED IS CHANGED
