Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 9646
error in table expansion
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
I tried to expand the table downwards and table do not expands from one page to another like other word processors. The way i did it is open a nw text document, Go to insert,Tables. Size-> Columns 5 and Rows 2. Click OK. In Column 1, Row 1 Enter lines until you reach the bottom of the page. Bug 1: The table do not expand to the next page. Bug 2: The contents written in the bottom will disappear. Try to write some more lines and they are not shown on the screen. Bug 3: Take the Cursor some place else and then try to move the pages up and down i.e from 1 page to 2 page and vice versa, and you will hear some weird noises. Bug 4: If you write some thing in first Row it will be in 'Bold' and Italic' mode by default, but if you paste some lines in first Row it will not change to 'Bold' and 'Italic' mode. Bug 5: why does this do not support table within a table because XML and HTML, both of them support table within a table. My reason for asking this question is that because you are using XML technology for the file processing. Bug 6: If I write some thing in a cell and then I increase the font size too much say '400' the part of the word disappears. Bug 7: If we increase the number of columns say '300' and above, the cells sizes are consistant except the last cell on the right hand side. For any question contact "Saad Ahmad" at sahmad@fit.edu
Saad, thank you for using and supporting OOo. The table concept is being reworked in OOo. One problem per issue please. Problem 1,2,3,6 are known. Please see issue 2109. Problem 4, try changing the style for Table Contents or Table Header with your font requirements. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 2109 ***
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
