I use Czech version of OO 1.0.1 on MDK9.0

I tried to follow the steps described on documentation website in order to
insert a "First Page" of the document where no page numbering will occure. After
4th step I got a special page, where I could disable a footer without
influencing of other pages. But it was the second page of the document. When I
tried to delete the first page which had remained, the special page moved to its
position and its style without footer was changed to the style of a rest of the
document. Thus, I lost my change.

Moreover, after this fourth step, the numbering of pages was such: 1, <no
footer>, 1, 2, 3... (I expected <no footer>, 1,2,3...) Some empty page between
the first page and the rest of the document was also created. I could see it in
a print preview, not during text editing. The information about a number of
pages (displaying while moving with sidebar on the right side of the application
window) in the document involved also this empty hidden page.

And moreover, after longer dealing with this problem when I tried to find a way
how to get a demanded result, OO totally crashed without any warning.
Unfortunately, I couldn't reproduce this crash.

I followed the recipe with OpenOffice 1.1beta2, and I did see
the hidden page, but never saw a crash, and the page without
a page number was the first page of the document.

The only part of the report I can confirm is that hidden
page, and the fact that it affects the total page count.
However, I think this is by design. The idea is that when
doing two-sided copies, you want that blank page after the
first page.

Perhaps you could refile this as a documentation problem?
