Description Unknown 2002-11-24 03:10:48 UTC
OO 1.0 crashes consistently when opening certain ms word docs, these open fine
in ms word. This severely limits the usefulness of the program.

Crash occurs after "importing" status bar has reached 100% (blue line).
Message:
S Office caused Invalid page fault in SFX641MI.dll at 016fild62ec49 and @
016fild62b5c0

Crash is always the same.

I would be happy to send you the offending docs but cannot figure out how to
attach them from here......

You need to attach the docs so developers can replicate this.
After logging in, click Create a new attachment.

Try to limit the document ( using MS Word ) to only what it's causing
the crash.

Hi IPRtrax@OOo,

Are you still willing to attach a document to help us see this crash?
If so, log into the site, then visit the issue you wish to attach the
file to (this issue, in this case). On the page of the issue itself,
just under the Keywords input line, there is an Attachments section.
Click on the link, "Create a new attachment", then follow the steps to
attach a short clip of the offending document. For the question "What
kind of file is this?" select "Binary File (application/octet
stream)". (Some of the "other" mime types do not yet work well.)
Thanks!
