OpeneOffice 1.0.1 and 643 crash blanking graphics and requiring manual forced
close of app when opening a specific document, originally written on M$Word. 

Document can be supplied.

Fault is reproducible across several different machines, common factors (all
tested and reliably reproducible) are:

Windows XP Professional Service pack 1 build 2002, OpenOffice 1.0.1 or 643 with
or without Java support installed.

The document functions perfectly across WordPad, and M$ Word 97 thru XP.
Will test on Linux (Debian 3.0) builds ASAP

Appears to read the file (the blue bar at the lower edge of screen moves) and
then hangs with no graphics apart from application frame visible. (can
screenshot if required)

M$ Error signature:

Possible non standard document?

Replicated on my windows xp, using OpenOffice643 Writer. I saved the 
file attached as a MS Word document. Then tried to open it with 
Writer643. It took me about 10 minutes and still an empty page. And 
I couldnÂ’t close it. When I rebooted my computer and repeated these 
steps, the same thing happened. 
Could you provide some of other files that can cause the same bug?

Crashes 644_m11 on Windows 2k, too.

cmc->mru: This doesn't crash/hang for me with my m13s1 under windows.
It does pause for a second during pagination but continues ok. With
two columns and one table spanning the two and the original report of
a hang I'd suspect layout problems with complex sections. Perhaps
fixed already by layout.

To confirm, I can see  NO problems loading gameprint.doc under yesterday's build from 
cws_srx644_ooo11beta2 so perhaps this is now fixed. 
 
I am testing with Linux PPC if that matters. 
 
We should verify this with the upcoming release builds and then close this as fixed if this 
works under x86 Linux and Solaris.

Yes, I could replicate the crash with OO 1.1 Beta. But for 1.1 Beta2
it is already fixed.
