Description Graham Perrin 2008-09-28 09:24:38 UTC
Kudos for the achievements using Carbon, but let's not overlook a longer-term desire for Cocoa.

<http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/FAQ_Openoffice.org_and_NeoOffice>:

> OpenOffice.org project wants to use only Cocoa/Carbon

Side notes:
<http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Mac_OS_X_Porting_-_Carbon_Documentation>
is suitably prominent, but other pages such as
<http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/AquaBuild>
<http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/AquaBuild/Cocoa>
<http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/AquaBuild/Cocoa_Informations>
might be updated (at least, to refer to a 'status quo' page concerning
both Cocoa and Carbon on the roadmap).

Personal note:
ICeCoffEE <http://web.sabi.net/nriley/software/> is exemplary of a fantastic time-saver that will be sorely
missed whenever I compose texts in OOo.

Thanks
Graham

Assuming a 'later' milestone.
Comment 2 thorsten.martens 2008-09-29 09:54:37 UTC
TM->HDU: please have a look, thanks !
Comment 3 hdu@apache.org 2008-11-26 10:08:38 UTC
Agreed.
@pl: make it so...
Comment 4 philipp.lohmann 2009-01-05 10:26:15 UTC
marked the first and the latter two for deletion. The AquaBuild page itself
seems to be up to date.
Comment 5 philipp.lohmann 2009-01-06 10:57:56 UTC
updated the neo office FAQ page also
