Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 94086
Have something similar to ppt's auto-fit
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:08:38 UTC
So. This is an attempt to provide something similar to ppt's auto-fit feature in outliner shapes. It's not an exact clone, as ppt seems to set hard font sizes (which I consider decidedly broken in the presence of styles), but the effect on usability should be the same - the text automatically scales down when size becomes insufficient. Might have some rough edges during outliner repaint, but should otherwise be fairly usable.

One thing (apart from the ui checkbox-reuse) is clearly controversial here - I rename one member of published TextFitToSizeType API (RESIZEATTR) - but that's utterly un-used, so I couldn't resist. ;) @cl: some review greatly appreciated.
KA=>THB/CL: any news on this?

Heaved core changes to DrawingPrimitives. Much nicer code now ;)
@cl: please review, when time permits
setting target to 3.2, even in case of different opions how to implement this and possible rejection. The feature should make it into 3.2 anyhow.
retarget
Fixed in cws ooxml10.
cl, could you please set this to fixed then and set the target such that the 'AllowedTaskTargets' test doesn't fail for ooxml10, thanks?
cl->tml: As the co lead of the graphics project I do not accept this patch in its current state. Please remove the changes from your childworkspace
Actually it isn't any of the patches attached to this issue that is included in the ooxml10 cws, but a much smaller patch that was claimed to be related to this isse. (I am not the person who has written the patches in the first place, so I didn't realize that until now.) I will remove the link to this issue from the ooxml10 cws.
It seems we need to wait for CL to come back from vacation to get some more information regarding this patchset and CL's objections against an integration.
The relation between this issue, and the patch here, and ooxml10 was a misunderstanding. There is no relation.
I'm adding this comment to all open issues with Issue Type == PATCH. We have 220 such issues, many of them quite old. I apologize for that. We need your help in prioritizing which patches should be integrated into our next release, Apache OpenOffice 4.0. If you have submitted a patch and think it is applicable for AOO 4.0, please respond with a comment to let us know. On the other hand, if the patch is no longer relevant, please let us know that as well. If you have any general questions or want to discuss this further, please send a note to our dev mailing list: dev@openoffice.apache.org Thanks! -Rob
