Description issues@www 2001-05-22 18:17:27 UTC
I tried to install OpenOffice Version 627 with the binaries.
I unpacked the archive and ran setup. When the window appeares, I get a
complete freeze of the X-Server and the Kernel (I'm unable to move the mouse,
switch to a konsole or login over network via ssh).
This Problem also occurs with StarOffice 5.2

I use a S3 Inc. 86C270-294 Savage/MX-/IX (rev 13).

My Distribution is Debian Sid with XFree 4.0.3 and I use the savage-driver

It's duplicate.
Please have a look at
http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=31879
There you'll find a workaround.
