Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 93596
Fonts not scaling together with other things in drawings added to a writer document
Last modified: 2008-09-08 12:08:02 UTC
When I add a drawing from Draw to a Writer document, and resize it to fit into the document, the text elements in the drawing will not scale with the resizing, but stay the size they were before. REPRODUCE 1. In Draw, create a box for visual reference. Add some text to it, by clicking on the "T". Copy all by Ctrl-A Ctrl-C. 2. In Writer, add the drawing by pasting it in with Ctrl-V. Use the handles to resize the drawing. Notice how the text size stays the same. The text size should scale with the rest of the document, of course.
This is not only with objects in Writer - this refers to the drawing objects in whole OOo. Currently it is not possible to get text being resized proportional to the object's size. Already tracked in issue 13972. As a workaround you could trasfor an object or group to a metafile in OO Draw. Then this should work. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 13972 ***
