Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 9205
Enabling control of smoother scroll using scroll-wheel
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:13:06 UTC
How about giving creating a setting, which allows us to set the scroll speed. Compared to Word, which scrolls a couple of lines, OOO-writer scrolls about half a page, which sometimes, if I scroll to hard jumps several pages forward of backwards. I use a Logitech MouseMan Optical Dual Sensor with the last Mouseware.
Even better would be to scroll according to the speed you roll the scrollwheel. slow rolling=each "mouse click" moves 1 line fast rolling=each "mouse click" moves several lines Also it could use some smoth scrolling b/c at the moment the page does not scroll, it jumps.
Reassigned to Bettina.
I think now OOo 1.1 scroll slower/less than 1.0. at least this what I read in the jems report Please try using the latest OpenOffice 1.1 Final , you can download it from www.openoffice.org many bug fixes and enhancements since your version and 1.1 Final . If the problem still happend in 1.1 please report back It maybe not yet solve your Issue, but it worth to try. I think we can close this ?

Reproduced on OOo-dev 3.2.0 DEV300m44 Scrolling works normal with any speed.
